Faith and Repentance

This is the temporary home page for the website faithandrepentance.org.

Faith and Repentance are key words in Mormonism, and they are key words for the

Faith and Repentance Committee as well.

We encourage all Mormons who disagree with the First Presidency's current stance on gay marriage

to use the words "Faith" and/or "Repentance" as "code words" to notify other like-minded Mormons

that you Support Gay Marriage and Support Civil Marriage Rights for Gays and Lesbians.

Use the terms and concepts "Faith" and "Repentance" often in conversations, talks, interviews, meetings, etc.  By doing this you will be showing your support for Gay Marriage and your opposition to California Proposition 8.  Additionally, you will be letting your church leaders know, in a subtle but powerful way, that our church is ready for some changes.  We are ready to practice love and equality.

If you are an active Mormon, and you want to know how you can help, go to your local leader, explain to him the work of the Faith and Repentance Committee, and let him know you would like to organize a branch, ward, or stake "Faith and Repentance Committee."

The purpose of the Faith and Repentance Committee is to help Mormons exercise faith that God loves everyone, including gays and lesbians, and to call to repentance all those who would deny civil marriage rights to gays and lesbians.

The Faith and Repentance Committee is not affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
